Mr. Brainwash es el seudónimo del artista francés Thierry Guetta. Se lanzó a la fama con el documental "Exit through the gift shop" dirigido por el famoso artista urbano Banksy, quien lo impulsó a crear su propio estilo. Para Thierry todo movimiento artístico consiste en un tipo de "lavado de cerebro", de ahí su nombre y alter ego. Se describe a sí mismo como un artista pop callejero.
Por decisión propia, invirtió en un taller capaz de producir obra a escala masiva en donde inició a comercializar sus proyectos. El éxito llegó con sus diseños de íconos populares mezclados con imágenes históricas, llenas de ironía, simples y directas.

Mr. Brainwash is the alias used by French artist Thierry Guetta. He acquired fame through the documentary "Exit through the gift shop" directed by famous street artist Banksy, who encouraged him to create a style of his own. For Thierry, every artistic movement constitutes a sort of "brainwash", thereby his pen name and alter ego. He describes himself as a street pop artist.
By his own choice, he decided to invest in a workshop able to produce works on a massive scale, where he began to commercialize his projects. He achieved success thanks to his designs of popular icons mixed with historical images, filled with simple and direct irony.
